OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348


 


­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Mr. Stephen Andrew Murray, age 33, of Ozark, died Monday, December 10, 2012, in Flowers Hospital.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 P. M. Thursday, December 13, 2012, from St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Reverend Frederick Boni and Deacon John Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.


Steve was born January 14, 1979 in Ozark. He was a graduate of Carroll High School Class of 1997, where he participated in the CHS Theater productions. He entered the United States Army in 1998 and served for three years.  Steve excelled and enjoyed his work in sales. Steve was an avid University of Alabama football fan, relished hunting arrowheads with his father, and playing his guitar.  Steve loved his son Drew  very much.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John M. and Sylvia Middlebrooks Segars; his paternal grandfather, Charles L. Murray Sr.; his triplet siblings, Peter, Paul, and Katherine Murray; and his brother, Michael Phillip Murray.


 Survivors include one son, Bryant Andrew Murray of Ozark;


his parents, Charles L. and Sharon Murray of Ozark;


paternal grandmother, Gloria L. Aris of Midlothian, Virginia;


two sisters, Melanie Murray Alexander of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Erin Murray of  New Orleans, Louisiana;


aunts and uncles, Susan and Ron Woods of Ozark, Susan and Keith Carter of Abbeville, Lynn and Joe Giusto of Taylor, Texas, Margaret and Brian Childs of Chesterfield, Virginia, and Kevin Murray of Ozark.
