OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK   ~   334‑774‑5348


Mr. Wilford Lewis Peters, 74, of Ozark, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014, in Flowers Hospital.


Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday, December 27, 2014 from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend William M. Todd and Reverend Mike Foreman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 12:30 P. M. until service time.


Mr. Peters was born May 25, 1940 in Dale County to the late Lewis Mathis Peters and Ida Senobia Fralish.  He worked for thirty-five years in road construction with various companies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers; and one step-son, Eugene Grantham.


Survivors include his wife, Hazel of Level Plains; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Eric Viles of Ozark, Kim and Rex Tipton of Montgomery; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeff Peters of Ozark, Kyle and Wanda Peters of Webb; step-children, Bruce Grantham (Beccie) and Nelda Carnley (Bobby);  two sisters, Sarah Byrd and Earline Beasley of Ozark;  one brother, Horace Peters of  Ozark.  Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
