OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK, AL   ~   334‑774‑5348


Mrs. Amanda Inez Pate Scott, 86, of Ozark, died Sunday, February 1, 2015, in Flowers Hospital.


Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, February 4, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark with Reverend William Barnes officiating.  Interment will follow in ­­­­­­Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 9:30 A. M. until service time.


Mrs. Scott was born May 14, 1928 in Crenshaw County, Alabama to the late Willie Jackson Pate and Lois Jordan Pate. She grew up in Andalusia and traveled with her husband while he worked with the construction industry.  They moved to Ozark in 1970. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Maxie Pate and Charles Pate; and one son-in-law, Lonnie Smith.


Survivors include her husband of 60 years, L. L. Scott of Ozark;  two daughters and one son-in-law, Lynn Smith, Becky and Ricky Dunn all of Ozark;  four grandchildren, Christy Lane (David), Joey Smith (Nicole), Jason Dunn (Kayce), Katie Dunn;  six great grandchildren, Evan Dunn, Brittany Lane, Little David Lane, Adriana Smith, Eyan Smith, and Jacob Mittelbach.
