Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL


 


Mrs. Beverly Powell Stevens, 53, of Ozark, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at her home following a brief illness surrounded by her husband, her sons and daughter-in-law, granddaughter, sister, and a very special friend. 


Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 8, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Guy Causey and Reverend Ben Amlong officiating.  Interment will follow in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, 3573 Hwy 123, Ariton, Alabama 36311; Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home in Ozark Thursday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.


Beverly was born October 5, 1964, in Ozark, Alabama.  She lived in the Center Ridge community in Dale County during childhood.  She graduated as Valedictorian from Ariton High School in 1983, and Magna Cum Laude from Harrison School of Pharmacy, Auburn University, in 1988.  She was a recipient of the Phi Delta Chi Award for Scholastic Achievement, a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and a member of the Zeta Chapter of The Rho Chi Society at Auburn University, a Pharmaceutical Honor Society. She was a member of Ozark Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her father, Norman E. Powell.  


Beverly is survived by her husband of 34 years, Christopher (Chris) Stevens of Ozark, sons, Mason C. Stevens (Haley) of Ozark, Tucker W. Stevens of Ozark, granddaughter and her pride and joy, Sophie Grace Stevens, her mother, Anne Powell, Ariton, one sister, Audrey Powell Fain, Ariton, nephews, Austin Fain and Carson Fain, Ariton, Pierce Stevens and Harris Stevens, Montgomery, and brother-in-law, Blaine Stevens (Teresa), as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and very special friends


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vivian B Adams School, 2047 Stuart Tarter Road, Ozark, Alabama.
