Mrs. Carolyn Duncan Johnson, 71, of Montgomery, died Friday, December 8, 2017, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.


Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday, December 10, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Benjamin Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Sunday from 1:00 P. M. until service time.


Mrs. Johnson was born June 29, 1946 in Aberdeen, Mississippi to the late Raymon Edward Duncan and Marcelle Odelle Camp Duncan.  She grew up on a dairy farm milking cows in West Point, Mississippi. She attended Siloam Baptist Church in West Point where she enjoyed doing Bible drills.  She is a member of Capital Heights Baptist Church in Montgomery.  Mrs. Johnson was an avid Mississippi State fan, loved to cook, read, sew and garden flowers and vegetables.  She loved her family and spoiled her grandchildren.  She had fought a long battle with her health problems; now she has won the victory in the arms of Jesus and her husband, Choppy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years, Froman Bruce “Choppy” Johnson, Sr.


Mrs. Johnson is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Margaret and Matthew Uhl of Gulf Breeze, Florida; one son and daughter-in-law, Froman Bruce Johnson, Jr. and Michelle of Prattville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Blake Johnson of Prattville, Alabama, Lawrence Uhl of Gulf Breeze, Florida, McKaylie Uhl of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Dean Johnson of Prattville, Alabama; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Ancie Duncan of West Point, Mississippi; and a special sister-in-law, Alice Johnson Mallory of Auburn, Alabama.  Several nieces and one nephew also survive.
