OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK

 ­­­­­­­­­­­­­Mrs. Erika Emmi Cureton, 81, of Ozark, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at her home.  Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, March 28, 2013, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Harry Circle officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery 10:00 A.M. (E.D.T.) Monday, April 1, 2013, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Mrs. Cureton was born March 28, 1931 in Bremerhaven, Germany to the late Frederick Martin and Willhemina Weichart. She met and married William Thomas Cureton in 1968 while he was stationed in Germany, and they remained married for thirty-six years until his death.  Mrs. Cureton was very proud of becoming a U. S. citizen in 1980.  She loved animals and worked with ASPCA for many years. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and working with pottery.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Monika Douglas; her son, Michael Cureton; and her grandson, Brandon Tant. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Nancy Douglas of Ozark; four grandchildren, Natasha Quebec, Jessica Reyes, Ashley Douglas, and Michael Douglas; six great grandchildren, Bryanna Douglas, Sebrina Quebec, Beau Quebec, John Tant, Cahlin Douglas, and Braedyn Douglas; and her silver poodle, Louie.
