OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348
Mrs. Evelyn Smith Carroll, 91, of Ozark, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, February 22, 2014, from the First United Methodist Church of Ozark with Reverend Dr. Christian Eckert officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mrs. Carroll was born January 18, 1923 in Dale County to the late John Emmett Smith and Dovie Mae Deese Smith. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark. In 1974 she and her late husband opened and operated Bill’s Hardware in Ozark along with their son, Bill Jr., until their retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William “Bill” Carroll, Sr.; and her son, Charles William “Bill” Carroll, Jr. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Paula Rigsby Carroll of Ozark; one sister, Hilda Nieves of Ozark; one sister-in-law, Florence Amanda Donaldson of Campbellton, FL; two grandchildren, Brad William Carroll (Darlene) and Dustin Charles Carroll all of Ozark; two great grandchildren, Kaylee Lyn Carroll and Colton Joseph Carroll of Ozark.
