Mrs. Fannie Greene Clark of Clio passed away Thursday morning, January 5, 2017, in Eufaula, Alabama. She was 89 years old.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, January 7, 2017, from Pea River Presbyterian Church in Clio with Reverend William B. Easterling officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends following the service Saturday.
Mrs. Clark was born March 12, 1927 in Troy, Alabama to the late Rupert D. Greene and Fannie McQuagge Greene. She was a graduate of Troy State University and Auburn University, and was a long-time educator in Barbour County. Mrs. Clark was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Eufaula. God, family, learning, art and beautiful things brought her great joy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Dan Allen Easterling II and James Clark; three sisters, Hellen Stewart, Sue Conaway, and Alice Greene Suiter; and one brother, Rupert Greene.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Easterling Stewart (Chip) of Trussville, Alabama, Margaret Easterling Cook (Ralph) of Birmingham, Alabama; one son and his fiancé, Dan A. Easterling, III (Tammy McRae) of Valparaiso, Florida; three grandchildren, Daniel A. Easterling, IV, Jonathan Cade Easterling, and Hayden Kimble Cook; one sister, Elizabeth Greene Riley of Indianapolis, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wallace Community College, Sparks Campus Foundation, 3235 South Eufaula Avenue, Eufaula, Alabama 36027.
