OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348


 


­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Mrs. Flora Belle Williamson Barefield, age 90, of Newville, died Friday, December 14, 2012, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center.


Funeral services will be 10:30 A. M.  Tuesday,  December 18, 2012, from Wesley Chapel Community Church with Reverend Terriel Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.


Mrs. Barefield was born May 22, 1922 in Jackson County, Georgia to the late Mizell Brown Williamson and Minnie Estelle Lingfelt Williamson. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Community Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed church activities, gardening, canning, and taking care of her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Jewel “Ike” Barefield; two sons, Jackie Barefield and Steve Barefield; and one granddaughter, Sala Kirkland.


Survivors include one daughter, Margo Kirkland of Midland City;


two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Sue Barefield of Ozark, Timmy and Deborah Barefield of Echo;


three sisters, Mary Burrell of Atlanta, Georgia, Lois Beckham of Webb, Alabama, and Ouida Ritter of El Paso, Texas.


Eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren also survive.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Wesley Chapel Community Church, 604 County Road 65, Newville, Alabama 36353.
