OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348
Mrs. Frances Beatrice Sheppard Shipman, a resident of Louisville, Alabama, went to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning, March 10, 2015, in a Dothan Hospital after a brief illness. She was 84 years old. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Pea River Presbyterian Church in Clio, Alabama with Reverend Jim Corley and Reverend Marvin Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Thursday at Pea River Presbyterian Church from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Mrs. Shipman was born January 8, 1931 in Pike County, Alabama to the late Charlie Washington Sheppard and Lydia Frances Dawson Sheppard. She was a homemaker, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and the Red Hat Club of Louisville. She was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother who loved to visit and travel with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Ray Shipman; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Raye Price Gilmer. Survivors include six daughters, Lynn McClain and Tony Skinner of Eufaula, Kay and Tommy Jones of Newville, Helen and Dennis Crowe of Clio, Mary and Curtis Renfroe of Louisville, Martha and Frankie Locklar of Columbia, TN, and Janice Osborn of Huntsville; nine grandchildren, Trudy Brady, Misty Maness, Jerome Tew, Julie Fischer, Jamie Price, Summer Cunningham, Heather Civils, Haley Locklar, and Casey Osborn; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mozelle Clark of Orangeburg, SC, Dorothy and Lamar Hayes of Dothan; a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tommy and Patricia Shipman.
