OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK   ~   334‑774‑5348


Mrs. Lena Belle Stafford Smith, 86, of Clio, died Sunday, September 6, 2015, at the home of her son in Troy.


Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from Elamville Assembly of God Church with The Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating. Her grandsons, Parker Smith and Kendall Smith, will present the eulogy.  Interment will follow in Elam Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.


Mrs. Smith was born January 6, 1929 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Leroy Stafford and Henrietta Sutton Stafford.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Dowling Smith; one son, Harold K. Smith; two sisters, Dorothy Andrews Faulk and Martha Jane Stafford Greene; two brothers, Roy H. Stafford and Maurice Andrews.


Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Delmar and Edith Smith of Troy; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Ivey Smith of Clio; three grandchildren, Kendall V. (Jamie) Smith, Parker D. Smith, and Carly P. Smith; one sister, Betty Garner (Trawick) of Ozark; sister-in-law, Elinor Smith Chisholm (Ken) of Dothan.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
