Mrs. Lorraine Hall Flowers, 72, of Ozark, Alabama passed away after an extended illness at her home surrounded by her husband, daughter, and son.
A memorial service for Mrs. Flowers will be held 11:00 A. M. Friday, March 3, 2017, from Ozark Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Eric Fuller officiating, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Lorraine was born on February 6, 1945, in Panama City, Florida, and afterwards moved to Umatilla, Florida. She moved to Ozark when she was 12 years old, and graduated from Carroll High School in 1963. Lorraine was a lifelong member of Ozark Baptist Church. She worked with Dr. G. R. Crosby for 35 years as an optician. Whether at an Auburn tailgate or a fish fry in her backyard, Lorraine loved fun, food, and fellowship. Nothing made her more happy than laughing over a good joke with family and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Durwood and Nannie Bostick Hall.
Lorraine is survived by Freddy Flowers, her husband of 52 years; daughter, Dr. Amy Flowers Worthington (Jack) of Troy, Alabama; and son Fred Flowers III (Tamara) of Port St. Joe, Florida. She loved her four grandchildren: Will and Loftin Worthington and Sara Beasley and Fred "Dru" Flowers IV. Lorraine is also survived by six sisters and two brothers: Joann Cherch of Enterprise, Shirley Kirkland of Ozark, Peggy Mauldin (Bo) of Chancellor, Rachel Morgan (Kenny) of Alexandria, Lamar Hall (Beth) of Ozark, Vida Peters (Keith) of Ozark, Loretta Hollis of Ozark, and Don R. Hall of Slocomb. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
