OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348
Mrs. Mildred Frances Harper Pritchard, age 94, died on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in John Knox Health and Rehab in Montgomery, AL.
Funeral services will be graveside 2:30 P. M. Friday, November 20, 2015, in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Ozark, AL with Reverend Jim Hill officiating. Interment will follow with Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.
Mildred Pritchard, who preferred to be called Frankie, was a native of Kentucky before moving to Eustis, FL where she and Bill made their home. After Bill’s death in 1991 Frankie moved to Ozark, AL. In 2008 she moved to Montgomery, AL where she made her home at Eastdale Estates, then Wesley Gardens and since 2011 at John Knox Health and Rehab. Frankie liked to talk about Bill who called her “Baby” and working in her father’s tobacco fields in Kentucky. She was an excellent seamstress and made most of her husband’s clothes. Frankie was an affectionate person who loved to hug people. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark, AL.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William D. Pritchard; her parents, Ben Franklin Harper and Mary Magdalene Carmen Harper; and three sisters, Lurleen Harper, Ida Lee H. Westerman and Emma Dee H. Dowell. She is survived by six nieces; Lois Walding Pippin of Ozark, AL, Maxine Wilson of Gilmer, TX, Mary Ann Carter of Louisville, KY, Donna Lee Tucker of Brandenburg, KY, Frances Jane Roberts of Ekron, KY, Janice Alexander of Vine Grove, KY; two nephews, Billy Boling of Jeffersontown, KY and David Boling of Gatesville, TX; and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her late husband’s nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Frankie requested that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to The Baptist Foundation of Alabama, P.O. Box 241227, Montgomery, AL 36124, designating them to The Cooperative Program.
