Mrs. Minta Lillian Urquhart Forester, 73, of Ozark, Alabama, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
A memorial service for Mrs. Forester will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 23, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark, Alabama with Reverend Michael Sigler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday following the memorial service. A memorial service will also be held at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze, Florida at 10:00 A. M. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 with Reverend Bob Bailey and Reverend Dr. Jim Moore officiating. Interment will be in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida with Military Honors.
Mrs. Forester was born June 23, 1941, in Washington, DC to the late Henry Collins Urquhart and Gladys Fallaw Urquhart. She served in the United States Army as a nurse for three years in Martin Army Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia; as county nurse in Santa Rosa County, Florida for twenty-eight years; and with the Ozark-Dale County Library for fifteen years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Hudson.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Jerrold Forester of Ozark; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dina and Scott Morehead of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Fran and Jeff Yates of Lawrenceville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Valerie Jean (Jeff) Pacansky of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Joseph Henry (Lindsey) Morehead of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Brian Collins Yates of Lawrenceville, Georgia; special family members, Bob and Sheila Dodd of Yorktown, Virginia, Ted Urquhart of Mary Ester, Florida, Beth Haas of Coppell, Texas, and Susan Parker of Durham, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Public Library, 416 James Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360; or to the American Heart Association Memorials, P. O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692
