Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

Mrs. Virginia Langford Logan, 72, of Ozark, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at her home.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Logan will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 16, 2017, in the First United Methodist Church of Ozark with Reverend Dr. Billy D. Gaither and Reverend Bill Hix officiating, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends Friday morning in the church from 9:30 A.M. until service time.

Mrs. Logan was born May 22, 1945 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Joseph Wilmer Langford and Elma Hughes Langford.  She attended Ozark City Schools and was an honor graduate of Carroll High School Class of 1963.  Following graduation, she attended and graduated from Alverson-Draughon Business College in Birmingham, Alabama earning a degree in Data Processing. In 1965 she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Logan, a marriage that lasted 51 years. Her career included employment with Paige Aircraft Maintenance, Inc., Fort Rucker, Auburn University, and Ozark City Schools.  Her passion for decorating and floral arranging prompted her to open her own floral and gift shop, Virginia’s House of Design, which she operated until her battle with cancer forced her to close the business.  Mrs. Logan was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark where she was a member of the Lois Robinson Circle, Seekers Sunday School Class, and served on the Worship and Decorating Committees.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Logan of Ozark; one son, Robert Logan, Jr. (Lori) of Elba, one daughter, Jenny Hallyburton of Auburn; two grandsons, Clark Logan of Elba and Logan Hallyburton of Auburn; two sisters, Lenora Brown (Rex) and Judy Wright (Ronald) all of Ozark.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ozark, 167 East Broad Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360; or the charity of your choice.
