OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK


Mrs. Willie Frances Wynn Davis, age 93, of Ozark, died Tuesday morning, October 2, 2012, in Extendicare Health Center in Dothan.


Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday, October 4, 2012, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Brent Parker and Reverend Dr. John Fain officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.


Mrs. Davis was born July 18, 1919 in Ariton, Alabama to the late Thomas Edward Wynn and Adeline Laney Wynn. She graduated from Eutaw High School and later moved to Ozark when she married Roy (Junior) Davis. Mrs. Davis worked at Ozark Flower Shop with Eric Peterson, then with “Red” Norman. After their closing, she went to work with Peggy Gunter at The Flower Shoppe where she worked until her retirement at the age of 87.  She enjoyed reading, fishing, Alabama football, Atlanta Braves baseball, and traveling with her brothers. Mrs. Davis was an active member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Ozark and Selma Baptist Church in Dothan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy (Junior) Davis; three sisters, Bonnie Casey, Emma Bruce, and Edna Free; two brothers, Thomas Wynn and Carey Wynn.


Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Rene Glover of Dothan;


two grandchildren, Rene Jr. and Monica Glover of Pelham, Alabama, Sabrina and Jamey Stephens of Dothan;


four great grandchildren, Alex Stephens, Olivia Stephens, Reilly Glover, and Katie Glover;


one brother and sister-in-law, Oscar W. and Maxine Wynn of Ozark;


sister-in-law, Angela Judah Wynn Leatherwood of Ozark;


her special friend, Dale Sassnet of Dothan;


several nieces and nephews; her Flower Shoppe family and Extendicare family.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Selma Baptist Church Building Fund, 3255 South Park Avenue, Dothan, AL  36301.
