OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348
SFC Robert Moore Turbeville, (United States Army, Retired), age 85, of Ozark, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, in Flowers Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, November 6, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Sam Williams officiating with full Military Honors. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 9:30 A.M. until service time.
SFC Turbeville was born April 12, 1930 in Florence, Alabama to the late George Riley Turbeville and Maxie Palmer Richardson. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving twenty-six years until his retirement with the rank of Sergeant First Class in 1969. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Following his military service, he worked in the trucking industry for eighteen years. He enjoyed his family and motor cycle riding. He was a member of the Westview Heights United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the Mother of his five daughters, Arabelle Loretta Dealey Turbeville; and one grandson, Shane Adams.
Survivors include five daughters, Connie Claybrook (Herb) of Slidell, Louisiana, Robbie Martin (Dennis) of Ozark, Lorrie Adams (Bobby) of Dothan, Bobbie Rodriquez (Rod) of Killeen, Texas, and Pollie Gray (Deacon) of Fort Worth, Texas. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
