OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348
SFC Ronald Clifford Curtis (United States Army, Retired) died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at his home. He was 86 years old.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, July 6, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Charles Gann officiating. Interment will follow with Full Military Honors in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday from 9:30 A.M. until service time.
SFC Curtis was born June 24, 1929 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to the late Clifford Davell Curtis and Eva Fredaricka Westphal Curtis. He served in the United States Army for over twenty years, retiring in 1970. Following his Army retirement, he owned and operated Ron’s Cabinet Shop for over ten years.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Parchman Curtis of Ozark; two daughters, Karen Sue Curtis (David Jones) of Ozark, Sandra Lynne Walker of Ozark; one son, Jerry Wayne Curtis of Manila, Philippines; six grandchildren, Rachel Dyan Tomon, David Allen Coots (Crystal), Kimberly Marie McComb, Jessie Lee Walker, Anthony Edward “Tony” Walker, and Sharon Curtis McCord; seven great grandchildren, Shawn Michael Ming, Evelyn Mae Tomon, Gary Lee Tomon, Dawson Lee Coots, Haley Lynn Coots, Kelsey McCord, and Casey McCord;
one sister, Janice Curtis Diedrich (Marvin) of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; one brother-in-law, George Parchman (Dorothy) of Hobbs, New Mexico. Four nieces and three nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
