On October 19, 2011 our Lord and Savior called Oddie Rathel ( Grand Ma ) to her heavenly home. She was 96.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 3 P. M. at Gordon Baptist Church with Reverend Tony Deese and Reverend Pete Blackshear officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home Directing.

 

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the church.

At her request, in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gordon Baptist Church, P. O. Box 148, Gordon, Al 36343.

 

Mrs. Rathel was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Rathel, her daughter, Margie Bodiford, her grandson, Randy Bodiford and her great granddaughter Sky Johnson.

 

Survivors include her son, Homer Rathel and wife Ann of Pansey, Al

Daughters, Maxine Swann and husband J. R. of Hilton, Ga and Sondra Ortiz of Fort Myers, Fl

 

Nine Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren, Three Great Great Grandchildren

And many friends
