Odessa Holley Foxworth Hobbs, a resident of Dothan passed away, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at a local hospital.


Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday April 29, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will be held Monday in Alabama Heritage Cemetery, Montgomery, AL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1pm until 2pm Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity.


Mrs. Hobbs was born July 24, 1917 in Elba, Alabama and she resided the early years of her life there. She lived in Columbus, Georgia and Montgomery, Alabama prior to moving to Dothan where resided the past fifty years. Mrs. Hobbs was a member of the Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her son, William Jerome Foxworth and a great-grandson, Blake E. Sobeck.


Survivors include, her son Billy F. (Rachel) Foxworth, Sr., Montgomery; her grandchildren, Dr. Billy F. (Chrissy) Foxworth, Jr., Julie (Fred) Sobeck, Tracey (Matt) Bellaire and Steven (Tina) Foxworth, Holly Newberry; her great-grandchildren, Amanda Sobeck, Morgan Foxworth, Brett F. Foxworth and Julie McLendon; daughters-in-law, Glenda Foxworth and Judy Foxworth; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved little dog Pricilla.
