Ofelia Mendoza Martinez age 65 of Dothan passed away, Friday, February 16, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. Funeral service will be held, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at St. Columba Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 12 o’clock until service time. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.
She was born February 20, 1958 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Aurelio Mendoza Garcia and Sofia Martinez Landin. Ofelia came to the United States 18 years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed keeping her home clean and cooking delicious meals for her family. She was a very happy person. She enjoyed dancing, cleaning and cooking.
Ofelia is preceded in death by her parents Aurelio Mendoza Garcia and Sofia Martinez Landin.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Emiliano Hernandez Martinez; sons David Hernandez Mendoza (Linda), Octavio Hernandez Mendoza (Norma), Jose Guadulupe Hernandez Mendoza (Maria Guadulupe), Carlos Hernandez Mendoza (Juana Del Carmen); daughter Adelina Hernandez Martinez (Jacob); grandchildren Alejandro Hernandez, Claudia Daniela Hernandez, Cristian Hernandez, Miranda Hernandez, Katalina Hernandez, Cristian Hernandez, Uriel Hernandez, Sabrina Marie Rainey; brothers Florencio Mendoza Martinez (Francisca), Joel Mendoza Martinez (Leticia), Antionio Mendoza Martinez (Estella), Arnulfo Mendoza Martinez (Rosa Leon), Jose Luis Mendoza Martinez (Eva Baldelamar), Jorge Mendoza Martinez (Michelle Egler); sisters Florina Mendoza Martinez (Ciro Mendoza), Patricia Mendoza Martinez
