Ollie Mae McGarrh, 83, of Dothan passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. McGarrh was born March 31, 1928. Mrs. McGarrh retired from the Federal Aviation Administration in Memphis, TN and moved to Dothan, AL in 1991. She worked for Dothan Mini Storage South for 10 years. She was an avid duplicate bridge player where she attained the rank of Bronze Life Master. She was a member of St. Columba Church and a volunteer at the Houston-Love Library for many years and this brought her a lot of joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Augusta C. McGarrh almost a year ago. She leaves behind her beloved children, daughters Susan Frederick (Gary) of Dothan, AL, and Mary McGarrh of Memphis, TN, and sons David Flippo of Dothan, AL, and Troy Flippo of Phoenix, AZ; she also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Sandy London of Dothan, Michael Frederick of Dothan, Shelley Valas of Memphis, TN, Greg Flippo of Memphis, TN, Kim Morrison of Memphis, TN, Michael Flippo of AZ, Mindy Diamond of AZ, Mark Flippo of AZ, Troy Flippo III of CA and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 am Monday, March 19, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Houston-Love Memorial Library Building Fund or Saint Columba Catholic Church.
