Ollie Ruth Hickman (92) of Coffee Springs passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 in Crawfordville, Florida. 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Pearson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Goodman Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Hickman was born August 13, 1922 in Coffee County to the late Alvin Lee and Elizabeth Simmons Chancey.  She was a retired seamstress from Alatex.  She was also a longtime member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Chancellor.

In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Vertice J. Hickman; daughter, Rachel Ann Motley; brother, Louis Chancey; and sister, Etha Mae Prescott.

Survivors include 4 daughters: Alice McGowin (James) of Coffee Springs, AL, Annette McIntosh (Charles, deceased) of Tallahassee, FL, Margie Wood (Clarence, deceased) of Coffee Springs, AL, and Sarah Walls (Gene) of Crawfordville, FL; sister, Carolyn Sasser of Ocoee, FL; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
