Otis Lee Powell, Jr., also known as Jack was born to the late Frankie Goodson and Otis Lee Powell, Sr. of Tumbleton, AL on October 2, 1936.

A celebration of life will be celebrated at 2 pm on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.

Jack was a member of Little Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Tumbleton, AL where he found the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie Goodson, his father, Otis Lee Powell, Sr., his sister, Mary Wells, and by his brothers, Eddie Lee Powell (Molly Powell) and Sonny Powell.

Jack departed on November 23, 2017 to be with the Lord. He left his loved ones to cherish his memories. His devoted wife, Mrs. Phyllis Powell; his children, Carlette Powell of Abbeville, AL, Angela (Bernard) Bishop of Jacksonville, FL, Derick (Crystal) Powell of Birmingham, AL, Roger (Thena) Powell of Dothan, AL, Neosha (Randy) Floyd of Ozark, AL; his step-daughter, LaKeesha Dover of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Also, a favorite cousin, Joe Robinson and favorite nephew, Robert “Bone” Wells.
