CLAYTON, ALABAMA. . .Ouida Wise Ryals, a resident of Clayton, (Texasville Community), died early Monday morning, July 3, 2023, in Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. She was 89.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 7, 2023, in the Corinth Baptist Church with Pastor Don Highland and Pastor Bob Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ryals was born in Barbour County and was reared in Georgetown and Eastman, Georgia, daughter of the late Victor Wise and Irene Watson Wise. She moved to the Texasville Community in 1950 where she was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. Mrs. Ryals was retired from Phillips Van Heusen in Ozark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Ryals, a sister, Mary Ella Wilson, two brothers, Marion Wise and Victor Dave Wise and a daughter in law, Mary Ryals.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Tim L. Ryals (Jane Tyler), and Dennis L. Ryals, all of Clayton; a brother, Edward Wise, Clayton, AL; grandchildren, Beth Bell (Derrick), Christopher Ryals and Tyler Ryals; great-grandchildren, Kacie Bell, Coy Bell, Kennedy Bell, Britton Ryals and Jaxon Ryals; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Tim Ryals, Tyler Ryals, Christopher Ryals, Britton Ryals, Coy Bell, Derrick Bell and Anthony Helms.
