COLUMBIA. . .Pastor Junior Lee Carroll, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday night, January 31, 2024, at his home. He was 75.


            Homegoing services will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in the House of Prayer, 1100 Cabot Street, Dothan, with Bishop Frank McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in the Carroll Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon Wednesday in the sanctuary of the House of Prayer. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the House of Prayer, Inc., 1100 Cabot Street, Dothan, AL 36301.


            Pastor Carroll was born and raised in Houston County in the Greenfront community. He was a graduate of Houston County High School in Columbia and attended Wallace Technical College. He was the son of the late Dave Carroll and Annie Bryant Carroll. Pastor Carroll was currently serving as Pastor of House of Prayer, Inc. in Dothan. He was retired from General Electric as a Machinist. Pastor Carroll was engaged in farming most of his lifetime. He was preceded in death by two brothers, David Carroll and Willie Barber.


            Surviving relative include his wife, Dr. Wilma Spikes Carroll; two sons, Maurice Carroll, Dothan; and Marcus Carroll, Atlanta; sisters, Shannon, Patrina, Taquilla, Brittany, Lakesha and Iesha, and brothers, Henry, Jerome and Ussif.
