Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Ferleman Tyson, age 75, a resident of the Rehobeth area, passed away late Tuesday morning, September 3, 2024.

Memorial Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Rehobeth Baptist Church with Reverend Chad Hixson  officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. prior to service time on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rehobeth Baptist Church “Building Fund” at 4444 S. State Highway 605, Dothan, AL 36301.

Mrs. Tyson was born June 12, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late William Edward Ferleman Jr. and Ruth Anne Graves Ferleman. She moved to Dothan at the age of sixteen and graduated from Dothan High School in 1967. Following graduation, she attended Troy University where she obtained her Master’s degree. She taught with school systems in Ozark, Blakely and most recently, Rehobeth, where she retired as Assistant Principal after a total of forty-two years of service as an educator. Mrs. Tyson was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church.

Mrs. Tyson is survived by her husband of 46 years, David Tyson of Rehobeth; sons, Jake Tyson of Dothan, Josh Tyson (Kristin) of Rehobeth; brother, Jim Ferleman (Linda) of Midland City; sister, Debbie Shouppe (Eddie) of Headland; sister-in-law, Elaine Etheredge (David); several grandchildren including Peyton and Kaiden (who she was “Nana” to)  John David,  Marlie Kate, Cora, Greyson and Asher (who she was “PePat” to); nieces and nephews, Matt Shouppe (Eileen), Christy Coskrey (Mark), Niki Aman (Nigel) and Paul Strange (Kelli); great nieces and nephews, Amy Kathryn Battles (Cole), Maeghan Sanders (Hunter), Wes Strange, Laney Strange, Lydia Strange, Jack Coskrey, Ben Coskrey and Zachary Shouppe; great great niece, Liza Battles; cousin, Derick Crawford (Debbie); special friends, Kay Love, Gayle Parsons, Judy Mabry, Melanie Sellers, Kerri Barfield, and Samantha Miller and her fur baby companions, Heidi and Lexie.
