Patricia Anne Nickolas, lovingly known as Patti, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, in Taylor, Alabama. Born on September 9, 1949, in Pennsylvania to the late James Alexander MacBeth and Irene Elizabeth Erdely MacBeth, Patti was a beacon of light to all who knew her. Her life was marked by her adventurous spirit, boundless love, and selfless nature.








Patti's journey began as the daughter of coal miners, instilling in her a strong work ethic and a heart for family from a young age. She carried these values throughout her life, touching the lives of those around her with her warmth and generosity. Her legacy continues through her cherished family. She is survived by her sons Steve (Kelly) Evon Jr and Patrick Allen Evon; her daughter, Jonelle Nickolas; her beloved grandchildren, Zachary Evon, Camree (Matthew) Jackson, Karli Evon, and Everlee Fuller; and her adored great-grandchildren, Myles Phillips, Liam Jackson, Josephine Jackson, and Braxton Douglas.


Patti's life was a testament to the love and care she poured into her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she was a constant source of support and encouragement for them. Her great-grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.


After graduating from high school in Pennsylvania, Patti embraced her role as a coal miner's daughter and mother with pride. She was a pillar of strength and resilience, qualities that she passed on to her children. Her involvement with the community and associations throughout her life reflected her commitment to service and support for those around her.


Selflessness was a trait that defined Patti. She was quick to put the needs of others before her own, and her kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Patti's unwavering support and unconditional love were the cornerstones of her life, and these qualities will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
