PATRICIA  BRADSHAW  WILLINGHAM


HEADLAND. . .Patricia Bradshaw (Patsy) Willingham, a resident of Headland, died Tuesday morning, June 18, 2013, at her home. She was 68.


            Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 20, 2013, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Cecil M. Sanders, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will follow at a later date in the Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Burdeshaw-Solomon Senior Center, 107 Boynton Street, Headland, AL 36345 or to the “Bridge To Tomorrow Building Fund” of the First Baptist Church of Headland, 301 East Church Street, Headland, AL 36345.


            Born and reared in Headland, Patsy Willingham was a 1963 graduate of Headland High School and attended the University of Alabama. She formerly lived in Birmingham, Jasper, and San Destin before returning to Headland in 2004 to be closer to her mother.  Patsy was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Headland where she was a former member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and was presently a member of the Stanley Williams Sunday School Class.  She served as a member of the Bereavement and Hostess Committees of the church. Patsy was also a member of the Headland Study Club. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, and friend who enjoyed cooking and also her special relationship with her high school classmates. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Barron Willingham, and her father, Randolph William (Randy) Bradshaw.


            Surviving relatives include her son, James Randall (Chip) Willingham and wife, Vonda, Poplar Springs, AL; her mother, Ouida Whiddon Bradshaw, a resident of Extendicare, formerly of Headland; the father of her children, Patrick Willingham, Orange Beach, AL; an aunt, Collyne Whiddon, an uncle, Benny Whiddon and wife, Shirley, all of Headland; cousins, Allison Whiddon, Birmingham; and Leigh Vincent and husband, Vincent, Dothan.
