MONTGOMERY. . .Patricia Walding Doswell, a resident of Montgomery, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at her home. She was 87.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2024, in the Corinth Free Will Baptist Church, near Midland City, Alabama, with Pastor Jason Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. in the church sanctuary. Holman-Headland Mortuary, Headland, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
Mrs. Doswell was born and reared in Dale County, Alabama in the Midland City and Echo area, daughter of the late Birt Walding and Maggie Tyler Walding. She lived in Montgomery most of her lifetime. Mrs. Doswell was a member of Highland Gardens Baptist Church in Montgomery. She was retired as a secretary from Central Heat & Air Conditioning in Montgomery. Mrs. Doswell was a great cook and loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Glenn Doswell, a daughter, Deborah Causey, a son, Tony Doswell, a granddaughter, Tiffany Doswell, and all her sisters and brothers.
Surviving relatives include a son-in-law, Floyd Causey, Deatsville, AL; grandchildren, Josh Causey (Amanda), Michelle Hutchison, Denise Way (Derek), Caitlin Smith (Zane), and Sara Doswell; great-grandchildren, Gabe Causey (Julia Anne), Hayden Causey, Julia Hutchison, Kyser Causey, Zoey Way, Maddox Smith, Jolie Smith and Chloe Way; several nieces and nephews.
