Paul Marino age 95 of Midland City passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, 2 p.m. at St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.
Paul was born August 16, 1928 in Connecticut to Gaetano Marino and Filomena Matteo Marino. After High School he enlisted in the Air Force. He proudly served for four years and then worked as an Aircraft Engineer at Fort Rucker for over 30 years. He enjoyed camping, skiing, fishing, and taking walks. He also enjoyed watching Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves. He was known as the “swing man” as he built and sold swings. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Mandi Marino; son Anthony Gaetano Marino; great granddaughter Olivia Everage; brother Joseph Marino; and sister Mildred Marino Kreykenbohm.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Janice Riley Marino; son Jeffrey Marino of Midland City; daughters Tonia Everage (Jay) of Rehobeth, Heather Hinckley (Chris) of Dothan; grandchildren Anthony G. Marino, Jr, Lee Everage, Ben Everage (Amanda), LaShayMarino (Aubrey), Todd Marino (Angel), Ally Hinckley; great grandchildren Myah Marino, Mason Marino, Jaxon Everage, Madox Everage, Clara Everage, Alex Marino, Cody Marino, Landyn Marino, Mia Everage, Jase Everage, Talia Marino; sister June Page of Hamden, Connecticut.
Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony G. Marino, Lee Everage, Ben Everage, Todd Marino, Mason Marino and Jaxon Everage.
Flowers will be accepted but will need to be delivered to the residence of Heather Hinckley, 206 Stonegate Drive, Dothan, AL 36305 or memorial contributions may be sent to DaySpring Hospice.
