OZARK…. Mr. Paul G. Grider, a resident of Ozark, died early Sunday morning, January 31, 2021 at his home. He was 68.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 5, 2021 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Grider, son of the late Frank Paul Grider and Helen Louise Carlton Grider, was a native of Scottsboro, Alabama and moved to Ozark at an early age. He was a master mechanic and was formerly employed with Road Mart Tire Store and retired from Lowery’s Automotive in Ozark. Mr. Grider was a member of the former Ozark First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren. Mr. Grider was an avid University of Alabama Football fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Dianne Sitz Grider, his sister, Myra June Cooley; two brothers, Charles Ray Grider and Donald Boyd Grider.


            Surviving relatives include three daughters, Becky Lynn Grider (Kevin Castro), Newton; Dana Michelle Sanders (Ozene), and Brittney Grider Roberts (Cory), all of Ozark; three sons, James Paul Grider, Jason Paul Grider (Kate), and Brandon Paul Grider, all of Ozark; a brother, David Paul Grider, Ozark; grandchildren, Amber, Haley, Devin, Chloey, Connor, Johnathan, ; Liam, Sabrina, Will, Jillian, Jaylen, and Jaxson; several nieces and nephews.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Ozene Sanders, Grant Grider, Lonnie Burks, Kevin Castro, Will Grider, and Devin Grider.
