HEADLAND…Paul Johnson (Rich) Jenkins, a resident of the Blackwood Community of Dale County, died early Tuesday afternoon, August 20, 2013, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility. He was 96.



            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 24, 2013 in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Revered Phillip Collins officiating.  Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Barrington Road, Dothan.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday, at the mortuary in Headland.



            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.



            Mr. Jenkins was born in Henry County, near Clopton, son of the late William A. Jenkins and Cora Maddox Jenkins.  He lived in the Blackwood Community since 1945 where he was engaged in farming most of his lifetime. Mr. Jenkins was a member of the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Merle Trammell Jenkins, a daughter, Pauline Woodham, and all of his brothers and sisters.



            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Ellen J. McQueen (James), Eufaula; a son, Paul Gerald Jenkins, Midland City; a son-in-law, Lee Allen Woodham; nine grandchildren, Dana Woodham, Theron Woodham, Shana Marshall (his special caregiver), Jim McQueen, Paul McQueen, Margo Martin, Michael Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, and Cynthia Kelly; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
