Paul Lyle Larson
Paul Lyle Larson, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Flowers Hospital at the age of 44.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Paul was born June 3, 1969 in Tampa, Florida Paul was a military brat whose father was in the Navy and Marines. He went to grade school in Iwakuni, Japan and attended middle school in Silver Spring, Maryland and Winter Park, Florida where he also finished high school.
He was known as ‘Uncle Truck’ to nieces and nephews. Jack, his cat, was a big part of his life as well as Bryan Potts who was his best friend. Over the years, Paul has written poetry for many people and his sense of humor will be greatly missed by all. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and swimming. These activities were introduced to Paul as soon as he was adopted at
age five. He continued to hunt and fish even after he lost a leg to diabetes and he always had the goal to be a scuba diver again.
Paul was a truck driver for over 15 years. He was employed by Northside K-Mart as a customer service representative for the past year where he was dearly loved by his co-workers.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Kenneth and Dot Mitchem of Milton, FL and Lyle and Carmen Larson of Arlington, SD.
Paul is survived by his fiancée, Tracy Jarvis of Dothan, AL; his parents, Lewis and Betty Larson of Milton, FL; a brother, David Larson and his wife, Kate of Douglas, GA; a sister, Christi Larson of Abbeville, AL; six nieces and nephews, Blake, Ashley, Craig, Clayton, Cassie and Brooke; a step-daughter, Becca and granddaughter, Charlotte.
