PAUL TED PEARCE
EUFAULA. . .Paul Ted Pearce, a resident of Eufaula, died early Saturday morning, August 4, 2012, in a Eufaula hospital. He was 71.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A. M. Saturday, August 11, 2012, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Covenant Hospice Chaplain Tim Stevenson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL 36303.
Ted Pearce was born near Headland and was reared in Dothan where he was a 1959 graduate of Dothan High School. Ted lived in Dothan most of his adult lifetime before moving to White Oak Shores on Lake Eufaula. He was retired as a salesman from Tri-State Automotive Wholesale of Marianna. In earlier years, Ted co-owned and operated Glawson-Pearce Clothiers in Dothan. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly fifty years, Colleen Exum Pearce and his father, Brooks Pearce.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Amanda Pearce Cotton and husband, Tommy, Fairhope, AL; a son, Craig Pearce and wife, Gina, Alabaster, AL; his mother, Norene Arnold Pearce, Dothan; two brothers, Bill Ed Pearce and wife, Gwen, and Fred Pearce and wife, Linda, all of Dothan. Ted, lovingly known as “Pop” also had four grandsons, Paul, Brooks, Sam and Luke Pearce. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, LaDon Exum, Ashford and his best friend and companion, Calista Phillips, Eufaula.
