Pauline Miller Atwell of Ashford passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015.  She was 81.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2015 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. George Ellison officiating.  Burial will follow in the Geneva City Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday beginning at1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.


Mrs. Atwell was born in Geneva on January 26, 1933 to the late John T. Miller and Eula Mae Miller.  She graduated from Geneva High School in the early 1950’s and immediately went to work for General Telephone.  After working for GTE more than thirty years, she worked the switchboards at Southeast Ala. Medical Center for about twenty years.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald G. Bradley, Roland Terry Bradley, Sr.; and four siblings, Voncille McCullum, Annie Ruth Hewitt, James D. Miller and Buddy Miller.


She is survived by her son, Robert C. Bradley, Jr. (Gina) of Slocomb; brother, Grady Miller (Gloria) of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren, Robert C. Bradley, III, Daniel T. Bradley, Roland Terry Bradley, Jr., Camirea Elizabeth Bradley, and Brandy Lynne Bradley Darden (Greg); five great grandchildren, Kelsea Myla and Trenton Miles Darden, Bruce Lazarus Byrd, Annastacie Elizabeth Gilbert and Emma Grace Watkins.
