HEADLAND. . .Peggy Lee Marley, a resident of Headland, has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 21, 2024, in the Extendicare Health Center in Dothan. She was 95.

            Private graveside services for the family were held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, July 22, 2024, in the Headland Baptist Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations was in charge of arrangements.

            Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Headland, 301 East Church Street, Headland, AL 36345.

            Mrs. Marley was born in Five Points, Alabama in Chambers County and was reared in Headland. She was a 1947 graduate of Henry County High School in Headland. Mrs. Marley received a B.S. Degree in Sociology from Huntingdon College in Montgomery. She was formerly employed as a Case Worker with the Moore County Human Resource Department in Carthage, North Carolina. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Headland and the Joy Sunday School Class. Mrs. Marley was preceded in death her father, Reverend Roby Judson Lee, her mother, Amelia Zobel Lee, her step-mother, Sarah France Espy Lee and her husband, Needham Gordon Marley, Jr.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Amelia Lee Marley (Jennifer Kaye McMutrie), Bradenton, FL; and a son, Needham Gordon Marley, III (Jim McGee), Headland.
