Mrs. Penny Marie Tidwell Hatcher of Wewahitchka, Florida formerly of Westville, Florida passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012.  She was 50.


 


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Uvonne Carroll officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, August 22, from 6 until 8 p.m.  Burial will follow on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Roberts’s cemetery in Wewahitchka.  A visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church in Wewahitchka Friday from 10 until 11:00 a.m. at which time the family will depart for the graveside.


 


Penny was born February 12, 1962 in Geneva County, Alabama. She loved to fish and had worked as a cashier at Rich’s IGA in Wewa for a number of years.  She loved people and all of her customers were very special to her.  She was of the Baptist faith.


 


Her father, Alfred Monroe Tidwell, and her husband William Ralph Hatcher preceded her in death.


 


Survivors include her mother, Gladys Tidwell; one brother and sister-in-law, William E. and Coreena Tidwell; two special nephews: Chad Alan and Jason Michael Tidwell, all of Westville; other extended family and friends.
