Philip Robert Spiegeland, age 78, of Jack, AL passed away, Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Flowers Hospital.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 26, 2016  from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.

Phil, most recently of Jack AL, was born in Brooklyn, NY to Oscar and Gertrude Spiegeland who have preceded him in death. His Brother Benjamin Spiegeland of Cape Coral, FL survives him in death.

Before moving to Jack in 1996, he lived in Toms River, NJ with his loving wife of 53 adoring years, Arlene Spiegeland, his son Bryan Spiegeland and daughter Kelly Schwamberger, all surviving him.

Phil’s drive and determination contributed to his decision to be his own boss in the 1970 ‘s where he embarked upon a path of running successful businesses for over 40 years.

He had a love and passion for flying RC planes of which he enjoyed many years with the RC Wiregrass Club.

Echoing his drive and determination were his gregariousness and charity which he employed in his magnanimous service with the Lions Club of Enterprise.

Never one to shy away from a challenge or the spotlight Phil could be counted on for advice on how to get something done, as well as the help to get it done. He was never in short supply of jokes to liven up a room, or a riotous anecdote that would have all smiling and laughing for hours to come.

His love for family was unparalleled, becoming the “Amazing One” to his surviving granddaughters, Kolby and Kadeyn Schwamberger, upon which he doted endlessly.
