PHILLIP CARL MCENTYRE
HEADLAND… Phillip Carl McEntyre, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Friday afternoon, November 8, 2024, at his home. He was 75.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Brother Joe Wyatt and Perry Mobley officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, his wishes was for contributions to be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or www.stjude.org.
Mr. McEntyre was born in Houston County, Alabama to the late Luther Neil McEntyre and Ruby Nell Singletary McEntyre. He was engaged in farming his entire life. Carl was a member of the Webb Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Sammy Register.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Janice Casey McEntyre; his daughter, Carla Jan Fernstrom (Jonathan); his sons, Luke McEntyre (Jenny) and Mark McEntyre (Nicole); his sisters, Charlotte Snellgrove (Rex) and Sandra Register; his grandchildren, Savannah McEntyre, Matthew Fernstrom, Brianna Daniels (Tyler), Brennan Pilley, and Makayla Marlow; and his great-grandchildren, Walker Daniels and Wrenley Daniels.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Luke McEntyre, Mark McEntyre, Jonathan Fernstrom, Kenneth Johnson, Marty Marshall, and Sammy Roney. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Moss, Fred Helms, Billy Casey, Halcot Hasty, Rex Snellgrove, and Pete Shelley.
