Ruby Phyllis Griffin, age 80, of Panama City Beach, Florida passed away December 6, 2016 at Bay Center Nursing Home in Panama City.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 1 pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lydia Temonia officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 - 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing.

Mrs. Griffin was born on October 6, 1936 in Ozark and moved to Dothan in 1958 and lived there most of her life until moving to Panama City Beach in 2009. She was employed with 1st National Bank for several years until her retirement in 1980. Mrs. Griffin loved to needlepoint and cross stitch. She was active in Crossroads Baptist Church in Dothan and Sunnyside Baptist Church in Panama City Beach.

She is survived by her son, Dallas (Beverly) Griffin; her cousin, Elaine (Norm) Van Ness; her grandchildren, Chris (Donna) Lee and Phillip (Hannah) Griffin; her great-grandchildren, Lukas Griffin, Lauren Griffin, Leigha Griffin, Joshua Lee and Jonah Lee; and several nieces and nephews.
