Phyllis Seales, 84, of Pinckard passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at her home.


Graveside services will be held at a later date in Edgemont Cemetery, Anniston, Alabama with Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5pm until 7pm.


Ms. Seales was born December 3, 1929 in Anniston, Alabama and she resided the early years of her life there. While living in Anniston she owned and operated the Lenlock Restaurant for several years and she was a member of the Anniston Country Club, where she was the first lady to hit a hole in one. Ms. Seales moved to New Orleans in 1962 and resided there for over forty years before moving to Pinckard in 2009. She attended Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston.


Survivors include her son, (Ret. Lt. Col.) Gary (Connie) Coleman, Virginia Beach, Virginia; her daughters, Patricia (Jim) Holmes, Pinckard, Karen (Emerson) Junot, New Orleans; 6 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; her brother, Terry Lee (Jane) Seales; her sister, Judy Seales Tricon; several nieces and nephews.
