HALEBURG. . .Raborne Leon (Ray) Vines, II, a resident of Haleburg, died early Thursday morning, December 18, 2014, in the emergency room of a Dothan hospital. He was 42.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 20, 2014, in the Camp Springs Baptist Church, near Columbia, with Reverend Jim Corley officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary.
Ray Vines was born in Atlanta and formerly lived in Taylor, Alabama before moving to Haleburg in 2002. He was a member of the Camp Springs Baptist Church. Ray was retired, due to disability, as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his father, Raborne Leon Vines.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Charolette Beasley Leidinger, Haleburg; two sons, Raborne Leon Vines, III, Abbeville; and Michael Aarron Vines, St. Louis, MO; his mother, Edna Jo Zamora, Haleburg; four grandchildren, Mason Harrison, Braden Vines, Annabella Rademacher, and Naomi Chevaz; four step-children, Norman Leidinger, III, Edwin Community; Calvin Leidinger, Eufaula; Rebecca Leidinger, Screamer Community; and Carmen Leidinger, Haleburg; several sisters and brothers; a former wife, Carolyn Brannon, Abbeville.
