Mrs. Racine Smith, of Enterprise, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 with her family by her side.  She was 82.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Sam Williams and Pastor Dan Baughman officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

 

Racine was born October 3, 1935, in Opp, Alabama.  She was a member of Wesley Chapel.  She loved her family, and was an avid reader.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Green Herrington; mother, Hattie Johnson Herrington; husband, Doug Smith; many brothers and sisters.

 

Survivors include son, Curt Smith (Vicky Turner) of Enterprise; daughter, Brenda Thomas of Enterprise; sister, Maggie Evans of Dothan; four grandchildren: Jeremy Johnson (Harli), Kim Lolley (Craig), Casey Turner, and T. Turner (Brittany); seven great- grandchildren: Heath Lolley, Hannah Lolley, Jaxon Johnson, Maddie, Brody Turner, Brayden Turner, and Everly Turner; several nieces and nephews.
