A celebration of Rahjan’s life will be held at 11 am on Monday, July 10, 2023 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
Rahjan Quintell Price, known by his friends and family as Rahjan, was a man who knew how to light up a room with his infectious laughter and quick wit. Born on July 20, 1978, in Newark, New Jersey, Rahjan passed away on June 30, 2023, in Dothan, Alabama. He was a kind soul who lived life on his terms, always ready with a joke or a helping hand.
Raised by his loving mother, Sheila Price, Rahjan grew up alongside his brothers and sisters, Omar Price, Taron Price, Clarence Ellis, Jyavona Ellis, Yaquita Ellis, Shannon Price, and Tiera Grisson. Together, they formed a close-knit family that was always filled with laughter and love, thanks to Rahjan's joyful spirit. His family extended beyond blood relations, with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who were all touched by his warm personality.
Rahjan's work ethic was as strong as his sense of humor. He worked with the Eagle Towing Company as a dispatcher, where his friendly demeanor and ability to keep calm under pressure made him a beloved figure in the workplace. His colleagues often joked that even in the most stressful situations, Rahjan could make you forget your troubles with a well-timed joke or a funny story.
Rahjan had a passion for video games, a hobby he loved to share with his nieces and nephews. His love for people, especially kids, was evident in the way he would spend hours teaching them how to master the latest game, always patient and always ready to laugh at their antics. His love for food was legendary, and family gatherings were always marked by his hearty appetite and the joy he took in sharing a meal with his loved ones.
A comedian at heart, Rahjan had a knack for making people laugh, often leaving them in stitches with his quick wit and hilarious observations. He was the embodiment of the quote by well-loved celebrity Ellen DeGeneres, "Life is short. If you doubt me, ask a butterfly. Their average lifespan is a mere five to fourteen days." Rahjan embraced life with an open heart and a hearty laugh, living each day to its fullest.
Rahjan Price was a funny, spirited, and friendly man who touched the lives of everyone he met. His sense of humor and his love for life were contagious, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. No matter where he went, Rahjan brought laughter, joy, and a sense of fun, making the world a brighter place. His passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the laughter and love he shared with us all.
Rahjan, thank you for the laughter, the love, and the joy you brought to our lives. You may be gone, but your spirit lives on, reminding us to always find the humor in life and to live each day with joy and love. You will be missed, but your memory will live on, bringing smiles to our faces and warmth to our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Rahjan, and keep them laughing up there.
