TEXASVILLE. . .Ralph Hubert Brown, a resident of Texasville, died Friday afternoon, July 17, 2015, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville. He was 84.


            Memorial services will be held at a later date.


            Mr. Brown was born and reared in Texasville, son of the late James Dolphus Brown and Ollie Estelle Snead Brown. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force during World War II and also in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Brown lived in New Orleans from 1955 until 1972 when he returned to Texasville. He was a member of the Springhill Baptist Church and the Masonic Order. Mr. Brown retired from Greyhound Bus Lines as a Bus Driver in 1971. He was preceded in death by a sister, Willadean Walk and two brothers, Robert Brown and J. C. Brown.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Nan Rigby Brown, Texasville; two sons, Lance Rigby Brown (Alicia), Destin, FL; and Ralph Michael Brown (Stephanie), Texasville; two grandsons, Taylor Rigby Brown and Hunter Wright Brown both of Birmingham.
