DOTHAN. . .Ramona Brackin Johnson, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday night, September 26, 2017, at her home. She was 77.     


            Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, September 28, 2017, in the Webb Cemetery with Pastor Quitman Hand officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.


            Mrs. Johnson was born and reared in Webb, daughter of the late Major Brackin and Rosa Lee Parker Brackin. She lived in Donalsonville and Albany before moving to Dothan in 1997. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Albany and was affiliated with the Grandview Baptist Church in Dothan. She was formerly employed as a Respiratory Therapist at Flowers Hospital, Dothan and was also a Certified Medical Assistant with Family Practice in Albany, GA. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, William Larry Johnson, a daughter, Deborah Gayle Johnson and three infant children.


            Surviving relatives include a son, Dewayne Johnson, Dayton, TX; a step-son, Steve Johnson (Cindy), Albany, GA; a sister, Sonja Hand, Webb; a brother, Mathy Brackin, Ozark; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kristy, Victoria, Brittney, and Elizabeth; one step-grandson, Jacob; and several great-grandchildren.
