Mr. Randy Samuel Goodwin of Samson, AL passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020. He was 70.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2020 in the Weeks Assembly of God cemetery in the Holley Store Community of Coffee County with Rev. Woodie Dupree officiating. Burial will immediately follow with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.
Mr. Goodwin was born in Orlando, FL on June 7, 1949 to the late Hilson and Marie Virgie Jackson Goodwin. Randy was a member of the Living Waters Church. He was an avid car racing enthusiast who enjoyed swap meets and car shows. He was without any doubt, one of the most skilled auto mechanics there was. He rarely found anything he couldn’t fix. He was a faithful member of Samson Masonic Lodge Number 624. Randy was a pilot and enjoyed flying. In the 1970’s he served as a police officer. In later years, he worked as a volunteer firefighter and member of the Samson Rescue Squad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rickey Edwin Goodwin.
He is survived by a special friend, Letty Johnson Jones of Samson, AL as well as many close cousins of the Jackson family who reside in Florida and Alabama and numerous friends.
