Ray Holland Cline, a resident of Dothan, passed away on December 10, 2019. He was 90 years old. Graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Kyle Gatlin officiating.
Ray was born on April 5, 1929 to the late Carl and Linnie Cline in Canton, GA and spent most of his life there. Ray graduated from Canton High School and went on to college where he graduated with a BA in Accounting. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served for over 20 years. Afterwards, he worked for the Veteran Administration in Montgomery until retirement. Ray enjoyed watching golf while he whittled and cheering on the Auburn Tigers with his son on Saturdays.
Ray is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lucy Cline; his son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Teresa Cline; his granddaughter and her husband, Lauren and Lance Tidwell; his grandson, Tyler Cline; his 2 great-grandchildren, Brody and Peyton Herndon; his special K-9 companion, Maggie May; and numerous extended family.
