DOTHAN. . .Raymond Oneal Parrish, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday morning, January 17, 2016, in the Extendicare Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was 100.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 19, 2016, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Woodrow Farrington officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Gardens of Memory mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 901 Montezuma Avenue, Dothan, AL 36303

            Mr. Parrish was a native of Grimes in Dale County, son of the late Willie Wise Parrish and Mattie Dasinger Parrish. He lived near Newville before moving to Dothan in 1954. Mr. Parrish was the oldest member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Sunnyland Packing Co. of Dothan. Mr. Parrish was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Wright Parrish, a son, Oneal Parrish, daughter-in-law, Betty Parrish, two brothers, L.R. Parrish and Maurice Parrish, and his step-mother, Tency Peacock Parrish.

            Surviving relatives include two sisters, Evelyn Cash, Newville; and Mernette Bayne, Headland; two brothers, Harold Parrish (Yvenette), Birmingham; and Connie M. Parrish (Janara), Newville; four grandchildren, Mitchell Parrish (Deanna), David Parrish (Millie), Lisa Pugh (David), and Lora Parrish;  five great-grandchildren, Justin Parrish (Kristy), Emily Robbs (Phillip), Jordan Parrish, Joshua Parrish and Amber Wager; a great-great-grandson, Ethan Parrish.
